Heavy Metal Homecoming
Augh! It’s almost here - HOMECOMING 2007! Yay! This is such a fun time of year. Parades, dances, games, dances, bonfires…dances. Do you have your dress yet? No? Well get crackin’, girl!
Sure, jewel tones were a huge trend at the Emmys (and I loved them - especially the red), but I am all over metallics for Homecoming. There’s something about them. So rich. So alluring. So fun and hip. So elegant. IMO, metallics are perfect for Homecoming, regardless of the level of formality your school’s dance has. Below, I’ll show you several gorgeous dresses, all from Macy’s, that rock metallics out. But, if your school’s dance is a little more cazh, Macy’s also has some fun metallic tunics and flowy shirts that you can pair with sleek black pants or even jeans. Mmm…shiny.

I love the gold one! I didn’t graduate THAT long ago but nobody dressed up for our homecoming dances!

Oh Amy, you poor thing! You didn’t get to dress up for Homecoming? What a travesty! Around these parts, Homecoming is nearly as formal as Prom. Really.
Eh well, at least you can relive it vicariously through TSL! :-) Unless you want to snag one of these dresses and boogie around in your living room, that is.

It was all about the sweaters (low cut, at least) and jeans and boots! I dress up much more now.
