If You’re Not Shaving with Schick Quattro for Women Yet, Start Now!
One of the best perks of this job is giving fab new products a test drive and then sharing my experiences with you so you know what’s worthy of your cold, hard cash and what’s not. Fun (and mutually beneficial), no?
This time, the new Schick Quattro for Women was on my hit list, and what better time to test drive a razor than summer, eh? Legs, underarms, bikini lines…they’re all front and center. So how did the Quattro stack up? Take a look:
First impressions: It’s pretty! A good looking razor that is total shower candy, for sure. It’s ergonomically built well, with lots of curves and grips, so it fits well in your paws. Plus, it comes packaged with a couple of refill cartridges, so there’s no need to worry that you’ll have a dull blade emergency right from the get-go.
Usage: Like I said, the Quattro fits well in your hand and is a pleasure to glide along your stems. The head pivots right in your bendy-places and the shave is very, very smooth. One note though: don’t let the four blades scare (or fool) you. Even though the thing looks like it could skin a deer, you really do need to press down to get right against your skin. But don’t fret, I never got nicked - not once.
After multiple uses: Still love it. I do notice that since I’m a lefty, the head pops out of its brackets every once in a while - I blame that on my grip. Even still, I remain un-nicked and just pop the head back into place when it gets unruly. I love how after several uses the blades were not rusting, even though I kept it right in the shower.
At this point, every once in a while I’ll find a strip that is still stubbly and that’s when I know either I’m not pressing hard enough (still a bit of a scaredy cat) or the blade needs to be replaced.
Overall opinion: A great buy! A great razor at a great price that gives a great shave. Who could ask for anything better?!?
How to get it: Online at drugstore.com, or at almost any retail drugstore. The price is around $9 - $10, plus your razor comes with a holder for your shower - and those refill cartridges to boot! See, I told you the thing was a good buy!
